Nubian Concepts Designs by Stella Reid

The Designer, Stella Reid, fell in love with sewing when she took a Home Economics class at her 8th grade middle school. She continued to sew after high school learning to make clothing that she could wear. It always amazed her when she received compliments on her designs.

She then started to get requests from others and that's when "Nubian Concepts" began.Stella loves working with knits, denim and leather. She loves using the Serging technique and home "deco" fabrics to create one of a kind crop tops and swing outfits.

Stella believes her designs are chic and classy with a bit of an edge. She is always looking for fabrics that are different, in fact, fabrics that will make the owner of her outfit be noticed the minute they walk into a room. Stella believes if you have a fabulous fabric, it should stand out even on a simple design. On the other hand, Stella feels that you can use a simple fabric to construct a beautiful outfit.

Stella became a member of the "MS ELLE'S especially for you" family 11 yrs ago. She has enjoyed creating designs for a diverse group of women alongside Lorna Collette Moore- Davidson.

Stella is excited about the new "Level Up" Web based business hoping to reach women across the globe.
